Life Skills Project

Teen Talk's Life Skills Project is designed for young people aged 16-25 years who want to develop a range of practical skills. Our programme of activities can vary as we like to develop new sessions that include the skills young people tell us they want to learn, but our current sessions are listed below. We are always looking for something new to try so if you have an idea for an exciting new activity, let us know!

Edible Community Garden Project (spring and summer only)

Every Wednesday, 3.30pm - 5.00pm
Teen Talk, 17 Cliff Road, Dovercout, Harwich, Essex, CO12 3PP

Our disused courtyard garden has been transformed into an edible community garden with some truly unique artwork and two large raised beds for growing fruits and vegetables. This year, our youth volunteers have decided to grow produce to be donated to the local People's Community Kitchen. There's still time to sign up so get in touch to book your place and pick up some new skills this summer.

Cookery Workshops

Every Wednesday, 4.00pm - 5.30pm
Teen Talk, 17 Cliff Road, Dovercout, Harwich, Essex, CO12 3PP

Get some great new skills in the kitchen with our weekly cookery workshops. This project covers all the basics you need to know from chopping, weighing and measuring to baking, pastry and preparing meat, fish and vegetables. Every week is different and you'll even get to put forward your own recipe suggestions. This activity runs all year round so get in touch to book your place.
