Our Tuesday coffee mornings are dedicated to parents and carers of 11-25 year olds, where our Support Workers can offer practical information and guidance should you have a concern for a young person in your care.
So far, we have been asked for support with a wide range issues from anxiety, behaviour and bullying to relationships and school difficulties. Whatever your worry we will try to help and if we can't, we'll make sure we help you find someone who can.
Where and When?
Tuesday's, 10.00am - 12.00noon
The Central, Teen Talk, 17 Cliff Road, Dovercourt, Harwich, Essex, CO12 3PP
Our parent and carer coffee mornings are made up of three main areas:
Group Session (term time only)
Between 10.00am and 11.00am we hold a very relaxed and informal group session where you can just drop in for a cuppa and meet others that perhaps have had a similar experience to you. Parents and carers have told us that this is a great way to draw on the experience of others, take some time for themselves, and that they don't feel so alone knowing that other families have overcome the same difficulties.
One-to-one sessions (term time only)
Between 11.00am-12.00noon we hold short appointments with a Support Worker so that you can discuss any concerns you may have or ask any questions in private. These sessions are very popular so we recommend contacting our Support Workers directly on 01255 504800 so that you can book your slot in advance.
Family Fun Sessions
These fun sessions give you and your family an opportunity to come together for an activity. In the past we've held art and craft sessions, beach trips and picnics and always welcome new ideas. Keep an eye on our events calendar where we will post the latest family fun session details as soon as they become available.
